Learning Vedic Meditation gives you a powerful, practical tool. Exploring the Veda gives you the framework that tool sits within.
The Veda is the ancient body of knowledge from which Vedic Meditation originates. The same source from which yoga and Ayurveda also emerged. It is, in the broadest sense, a map of how consciousness works, how Nature operates, and how human beings can align themselves with both.
Exploring the Veda is a six-part course created by Thom Knoles, one of the world's foremost teachers of Vedic philosophy, and the first and only non-Indian to have been given the designation of Mahamandaleshwar, in recognition of his status as a practising expert in this field. Each instalment runs over a weekend and delivers approximately 18 hours of recorded lectures, facilitated in person with group discussion and Q&A. The courses build on each other sequentially, though there is no obligation to complete all six.

For many students, this course is where the practice stops being something they do and becomes something they understand at a much deeper level. That shift tends to make the daily practice richer, more consistent, and more meaningful.
What you will explore
Each instalment covers a distinct area of Vedic knowledge. The full series includes:
Thom delivers this material in the way it was always intended to be taught: through direct explanation, analogy, and live question and answer. Students consistently describe the knowledge as practical, grounding, and applicable to everyday life.
